A Cultural Style Week special screening of 'The Story Behind My Caribbean Cultural Style' with Q&A and shopping!

In 'The Story Behind My Caribbean Cultural Style', docu-film, Jennifer Laurent-Smart expands on her 'Cultural Style Week' campaign video and provides further insight into the story behind her Caribbean cultural identity and how she expresses it through fashion.

Featuring archive footage and additional interviewees, the documentary also explores the origin of Creole Caribbean traditional Madras clothing, its links to India, Africa, slavery and its use today.

After the screening, attendees will have the opportunity to  purchase wonderful Madras clothing and accessories by Sakafet London, and participate in a Q&A session with Jennifer Laurent-Smart and the docu-film director Candy-Ellie Graham.

The event will take place at the iconic Africa Centre Southwark, London. The go to place for pan-African food, music, art, culture and thought leadership!
