After our summer recess, we’re excited to be back and to present a line-up of amazing events for Black History Month 2025.
From a buzzing pop-up to hands-on family creativity and two inspiring headwrap sessions that explore textile histories, symbolism and identity. Learn about African and Caribbean fabric traditions, the meanings behind Ashoke and Gele styles, sustainable upcycling techniques, and practical wrap skills you can use every day.
Across the programme, families can also make upcycled jewellery, design cultural fashion dolls, create flags and masks, enjoy quick colouring activities, and at the pop-up, meet makers, discover literature and accessories, and hear the stories behind their work and more!
